Guiding principles

• Mark submissions as submissions. Every incriminating statement is marked as Plaintiff submission, evidentiary status or point of dispute. We do not say "DVAG deceived", but "the Plaintiff submits that …".
• Defendants' position in its strongest form. In every episode the defendants' position is presented in its strongest form — no straw-man defence.
• No personal names. Personal names from intermediary, executive or brand-ambassador context are not given. Admissible are only functional designations such as DVAG intermediary, Generali specialist department or executive level.
• No proven conclusions. We do not say "The court must decide this way", but "The court will have to weigh whether …".
• No invented case-file references. Where only exhibit or BLD numbers exist, only these are cited.
• No legal advice. This website is citizen journalism, not legal advice. Anyone considering legal action should seek independent counsel.

What this website does not replace

• It does not replace the judicial decision. A final and binding evaluation does not exist.
• It does not replace the defendants' position. The defendants have the opportunity to present their view in the proceedings — and use it on the record.

What happens when you visit the site

When this website is accessed, the web server briefly processes technically necessary data (IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for delivery of the page and protection against misuse. Processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation of the website). The website sets no cookies and uses no external tracking; no profiling takes place. Server logs are typically deleted after 7 days, unless they are needed for the investigation of specific security incidents.

Contact by email

If you contact us by email — for example as an affected person or via the tiered tip form — your information is stored for the processing of your enquiry and for follow-up communication. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) (pre-contractual/contractual) or (f) GDPR. Tips with an anonymity request are stored without identifier; in that case, follow-up enquiries are not possible.
